Thank you for saying yes to the Growing Up Deaf Summit. I'm genuinely thrilled to have you here.
Here's why this matters: most hearing parents get a diagnosis and a pamphlet, and not much else. This summit fills that gap. Over four days, families learn from Deaf adults, parents, educators, advocates, and interpreters who share what no one told them at the start. That's where you come in.
This page has everything you need to make participating simple. If something isn't covered here, email me at summit@krisdaria.com.
A little thank-you: because you're giving your time and your story, you'll get complimentary access to the All-Access Pass.
The Growing Up Deaf Summit runs September 17–20, 2026. It brings together Deaf adults, parents, educators, advocates, interpreters, and professionals to share the experiences, perspectives, and resources most families never get after diagnosis.
Your session is a recorded interview. Just you, me, and an interpreter, running about 25 to 30 minutes. No formal presentation required. We're after honest stories, lived experience, and practical insight. The kind of conversation that helps a family feel less alone and more sure of their next step.
If you'd like, you can use up to 2 minutes at the end to share a free resource or next step with attendees.
Before we hit record, we'll settle in, run a quick sound and tech check, and make sure you feel good to go.
The promotion period kicks off Wednesday, September 2, 2026. You'll get swipe copy, graphics, and everything you need to make sharing easy.
A quick note on how the free part works
The summit is free for every family. Everyone who registers watches all the presentations and replays for free during the event. Parents who want to keep the replays long-term can purchase an optional All-Access Pass after they've already registered. It's never required, and nobody pays to learn from you.
As a presenter, you earn a commission on any passes you refer, but there's no selling involved on your end.
You're generously contributing your time, expertise, and lived experience to this event, and I'm committed to making the process as simple as possible.
Once you've confirmed your participation, you'll get a form to send over your:
This information helps us showcase you on the summit website and in promotional materials.
Your interview will be approximately 30 minutes long and recorded in advance. To make the experience as comfortable and accessible as possible, an ASL interpreter will be present during the recording session, supporting communication throughout and creating an inclusive, accessible experience for both presenters and attendees.
Time to set aside: please block one hour on your calendar. The recording itself is only 30 minutes, but the extra time gives us room to settle in, run the sound and tech check, record without rushing, and hang out for a few minutes afterward. No need to rush off.
To create the best possible experience for attendees, please join from a quiet space with clear lighting and a clutter-free background. If you'll be presenting in ASL, lighting on your hands and face plus good camera framing make all the difference. If you'll be speaking, a quality microphone, headphones, and a laptop or desktop (not your phone) are highly recommended.
You don't need slides or a formal presentation. We'll have a meaningful conversation centered on your experiences, expertise, insights, and the topic we choose together. I'll guide the discussion with questions, and we'll collaborate beforehand so you feel prepared and confident.
At the end, you're welcome to take up to 2 minutes to share a free resource or next step, which helps boost your email opt-ins from attendees.
The All-Access Pass gives attendees additional resources and extended learning. To make the pass even more valuable, and give presenters another way to grow their audience, you're invited to contribute a bonus resource. Examples:
Contributing is optional but highly encouraged. Your bonus should have a minimum perceived value of $25. We can't accept discount-only offers or coupons.
Why contribute:
Here's the magic of a summit: when everyone shares, everyone wins. More families find the event, and your affiliate earnings grow. So beginning September 2, 2026, I ask each presenter to do at least one of these:
You're welcome to share more if you'd like to maximize your affiliate commissions and help more families discover the event. We'll provide promotional materials, swipe copy, graphics, and guidance to make sharing as easy as possible. Remember to use your unique affiliate link whenever you promote, so referrals are tracked properly.
Joining us live during the summit is completely optional. You're welcome to hop into the private summit community to connect with attendees, answer questions, keep your conversation going, and cheer families on. But there's zero pressure to show up live.
Quick context, especially if affiliates are new to you. The summit itself is completely free for families to watch during the event. The All-Access Pass is an optional upgrade they can buy, and that's where the affiliate program comes in.
What the All-Access Pass gives families: lifetime access to every replay, so they can revisit sessions on their own schedule (a real gift for newly diagnosed parents who are stretched thin), plus the full bundle of bonus resources presenters contribute. It turns four days of inspiration into something they can lean on long after the summit wraps.
The biggest reward of presenting is the families you'll support and the relationships you'll build. But I also want you to benefit financially from helping spread the word, and that's exactly what the affiliate program is for.
New to affiliates? Here's the short version:
That's it. You get paid for helping families you'd want to help anyway.
As with all affiliate promotions, please disclose your affiliate relationship when sharing with your audience.
To make participation and promotion as easy as possible, you'll have access to a Resource Vault containing:
I'll send the link to the Resource folder before the promotion period begins.
Phew, that was a lot to cover, and I appreciate you for making it this far. For clarity, here's your current to-do list:
